Chicken Patties
When I came Australia, I found something look like our chicken patties and kind of same style of stuffing. Do you have any idea what I am talking about? It is pie. Our chicken patties and pie kinda same thing but chicken patties have more flavour because stuffing is spiced up and its skin is crisper. Few weeks ago I have started sharing Authentic Bangladeshi snacks. In my Bangladeshi snacks journey I want to Chicken Patties. Hope you will make to enjoy with your family and friends.
Ingredients:
For Stuffing:
• 200 grams chicken breast(diced)
• 300 grams onion (diced)
• 4-5 green chillies (chopped)
• 1 teaspoon ginger paste
• 1/3 teaspoon cardamom powder(optional)
• ½ teaspoon black pepper crushed
• 1 tablespoon cornflour
• ¼ cup milk
• ½ teaspoon tasting salt
• 2 tablespoon oil
• Salt to taste
For crust:
• 2 puff pastry sheets
• 1 egg
Also needs muffin tray and spray oil.
How to make:
1. Heat the pan with oil and fry onion for 2 minutes.
2. Add chicken, ginger, cardamom, black pepper and salt and cook it till chicken changes it colour.
3. Mix milk and corn flour together and add with chicken.
4. Stir well and cook 1 more minute.
5. Add tasting salt and mix it. Remove pan from heat.
6. Preheat the oven on 18o˚c or 160˚c for fan forced one.
7. Cut 6 of 4.5″ circle and 6 of 3″ circle from pastry sheets.
8. Spray oil in the muffin tray. Use 4.5″ circle as a base in muffin tray and stuff it.
9. Break the egg and give a whisk. Brush egg on each stuffed patty.
10. Use 3″ circle as a top and from the off cut of puff pastry sheet make 6 small balls. Place one each patty and brush egg on each patty.
11. Bake the patties till those become golden brown.
12. Take out from oven and let it sits from 10 minutes.
13. Serve chicken patties hot.

Thank you very much. Hope we will work together in Future.
When you say spray oil on the muffin? Does that mean before stuffing the pastry sheets you need to spray in the pan?
Thanks Lopa. yeah it will spray oil on muffin tray.
how long do I bake it for at 200 C?
Cook it about 50-55 minutes or till it becomes golden brown. Thanks.
Hi sister,, what are something elas that I can use without cornflour?
You can use Flour(moida) instead of cornflour . Thanks.
Hello Rownak,
I just love your recipes! This one is really great. BTW few days ago you posted a different one using puff pastry sheet and minced-beef (I believe that was also a patties recipe), but today I don’t find it on your site! Did you delete it? Or somehow I’m missing it? Please advise.
Thanks a lot.
Hi Rowshan! I havent removed any post. may be you r looking for Patties recipe .. link will be http://www.banglarecipes.com.au/patties/
Yes, this is the one that somehow I didn’t find yesterday! Thanks a lot.
I am so glad I found your recipes. I recently moved from NYC to Alabama and I’ve been homesick. Unfortunately, my Deshi food skills are limited, but now I can make all my favorite dishes! Thank you for making this website!
Hi,Rownak. Thanks for this recipe.I like chicken patties but I don’t know how to make it.
it is very easy. Please make it and let me know.
Dear Rownak apu….
thanks for the recipe….I tried it today…it tasted good…one thing is that inner side of the puff pastry sheet was little bit lumpy seems not done. I baked on 200c for 20 mins…if I need to bake some more time then the outside will overdone…my question do I need to reduce the temperature and bake longer time or do I need to reduce the watery consistency of the stuffings? It seems to me as per ur recipe 1 tbs cornflower in 1/4c milk is any reason for more moisture inside the patties that’s make the inner side of pastry sheet more moist!I don’t know..can you pls help me !thanks
which oven do you use?fan force or normal one. Chicken patties suppose to be moist inside. but if puff pastry sheet is not cooked inside, that means you are baking higher temperature or too close to heat. please bake next time on less temperature and longer time. Baking time and temperature can vary for oven to oven or puff pastry brand or even how close to heat you are baking. when I bake, it take 30-40 minutes. Thanks
Eid Mubarak.
